About Lorien

Lorien is, always has been, and probably always will be a news/politics junkie, and lately has added celebrity gossip in just for variety (and because they just keep doing crazy stuff!).  She was born and spent the first few years of her life in South America traveling with her hippie parents in the back of a camper.  When they moved to the US, her parents set up an organic blueberry and vegetable farm, thus beginning Lorien's lifelong addiction to being an organitarian.  As a child she had a whole wall of her room dedicated to pictures of Corazon Aquino and another to head shots of NPR personalities, leaving very little room for Corey Haim and River Phoenix.  After many years living the gypsy life, some of which she doesn't remember very well, she settled down and got married and had a daughter, which broadened her horizons in ways she couldn't have ever imagined (though being a mom has cut into precious knitting time).  Despite some evidence to the contrary, she still believes one person can save the planet.  She's crazy like that.
